The cerebral endothelial cell membrane behaviour kugeln
Elisabeth Kugler conducted her PhD at the University of Sheffield (UK) developing image analysis pipelines for the zebrafish brain vasculature. She discovered and characterised a previously undescribed cell membrane behaviour in brain vessels, which she termed kugeln. Elisabeth combines experimental sciences with computational modelling to understand the biological processes that underpin vascular development and disease.
