Role of hnRNP K (an RNA binding protein) in AML

May 21, 2020

I’m a newly minted PhD now finishing my last year of medical school in Houston, TX. My thesis work investigated the role of the RNA-binding protein hnRNP K in myeloid leukemogenesis. Scientifically, I’m intrigued by this class of proteins and would love to make a career out of studying their various roles in both carcinogenesis and immune responses. I also thoroughly enjoy the clinical aspect of hematologic malignancies and am pursuing internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship.

Aside from these things, I enjoy volleyball, my home state of Colorado, penguins, real estate, and assembling IKEA furniture.

Keywords
