Viral Infection and Coagulation: The Bluegrass Experience

July 30, 2020

Dr. Jeremy Wood earned his PhD from the University of Vermont, where he studied prothrombinase function with Paula Tracy. As a postdoctoral fellow with Alan Mast at the BloodCenter of Wisconsin, he began studying anticoagulants, including TFPI and Protein S. In 2017, he joined the University of Kentucky as an Assistant Professor. His laboratory focuses on the anticoagulants Protein S, Protein C, and TFPI, and on the effects that viruses, including HIV and Covid-19, have on the coagulation system.

He enjoys puzzles and riddles in narratives. Can you find the hidden word in this one?
