Megakaryocyte calcium signaling via store-operated channels in health and disease
May 7, 2020
I’m Researcher at the University of Pavia, Italy. My research focuses on the study of the mechanisms that control megakaryopoiesis and proplatelet formation.
Particularly, I’m interested in unraveling how autocrine signals and ion flows integrate to promote physiologic platelet release. Further, I’m involved in different projects trying to understand the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by impaired platelet production (i.e. inherited thrombocytopenias, myeloproliferative disorders).
